About the program

Atopic DermAcademy is an intensive educational initiative for Pediatricians with a mix of pre-recorded video modules from AAD experts along with case studies from Indian experts and a virtual connect with AAD faculty and Indian faculties.

  • Pre-Assessment

    This section will gauge the current understanding to set the stage for comprehensive learning on the diagnosis and management strategies in pediatric patients.

  • Module 1: Introduction to Atopic Dermatitis (AD)

    This learning module will overview the global and Indian prevalence of AD in pediatric patients, epidemiology, known etiologic factors, clinical features, and symptoms. It will cover the impact of AD on the quality of life (patients and families of the patient) and its psychological burden.

  • Case Study 1: Atopic Dermatitis & Its Severity Through Real-Life Case Studies

    This case discussion will help understand the analysis and categorization of AD in various cases in pediatric patients and its severity through real-life cases.

  • Module 2: Pediatric Atopic Dermatitis: Comprehensive Diagnosis

    This learning module will cover the critical diagnostic criteria and differentiate the AD diagnosis in pediatric patients. It will further discuss various tools and techniques for AD diagnosis.

  • Case Study 2: Atopic Dermatitis & Atopic Dermatitis Mimickers

    This case discussion module will discuss various clinical variants of AD in pediatric patients in Indian scenarios.

  • Module 3: Management Strategies for Atopic Dermatitis

    This learning module will discuss various pharmacological therapies for managing AD in pediatric patients, highlighting clinical guidelines and best practices. It discusses the use of biologics for moderate-to-severe AD in children.

  • Case Study 3: Analyse & Discuss Novel Microbiome - Based Therapies for AD in Pediatrics & Adolescents

    This case discussion module will highlight the role of nutrition and gut health in managing AD in pediatric patients. It will further discuss the importance of microbiome modulation in the management of AD in these patient populations.
